WHEN: Shortly after my parents stop in the middle of the aisle, DJ Justin will begin playing the instrumental version of the song. This will be your cue. The words begin as I walk closer and closer to my parents. Please stand from your seat, no need to go anywhere, and sing the first paragraph. 

WHAT IS VASOONAK? Sung during the happy days from the time of proposal to the days after the wedding ceremony, Vasoonak is a generations-old Jewish folk song with roots in Shiraz, where our Bride’s mother is from. Written by women, for women these stanzas were how women for more than a hundred years in Shiraz have added their voices to the ceremony.
